  • Police prepare investigation report on disappearance of missing Karachi teenager.
  • Report states "girl has also taken her tablet device with her."
  • Family refutes police report findings and demand action against SHO concerned.

KARACHI: The police have prepared an investigation report in the case of a 14-year-old Karachi girl, who went missing six days ago.

The police say that information on a nikkah and court marriage was found in the internet search history from the girl's house. The report stated that the "girl has also taken her tablet device with her."

It further stated that the complainant, the missing teenager's father, has said in his statement to the police that his daughter studies in class 7, but her school administration said that the girl didn't attend school after class three.

The school administration's claim has been seconded by the girl's class fellows.

Meanwhile, the teenagers family has refuted the findings of the police report and demanded action against the Al-Falah police SHO Badar Shakil.

Police said that the SHO has been dismissed from his post over issuing "wrong" CCTV footage that showed a minor girl consensually leaving in a Suzkuki pickup van.

However, further investigation confirmed that the girl in the van was not the missing girl.

The police has requested the media not to run the footage again, saying that the video doesn't have any link with the case. They said that efforts for the recovery of the missing girl is underway.

The teenager had gone missing around six days ago. Her father said that if she is not recovered, he and his family will take their own lives in front of Governor House, according to Geo News.

After the girl's disappearance, her father filed a police complaint, The News reported Wednesday, with him saying that he did not have enmity with anyone.

“My daughter wasn’t even going to school for the past one and a half years," her father told the publication.

The girl has been missing for nearly a week, but there has been no clue over her whereabouts since she stepped out of her home to dispose of garbage.
