ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police on Tuesday apprehended 14 outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered three hand grenades, weapons, wine and stolen mobile phones form their possession, a police spokesman said.

According to details, ASI Inam Ullah from Golra police recovered three hand grenades from a suspect Sohail s/o Zafar Iqbal resident of Rawalpindi who was intercepted by him at Saadat Colony for special checking. He also recovered 370 rounds of SMG from him.

ASI Fazal Khaliq arrested an accused Waheed and recovered 30 bore pistol from his possession while Sub-Inspector Shah Nazar from Nolrea police station apprehended an accused Arsalan for possessing 30 bore pistol and seven rounds.

Sub-Inspector Muhammad Usman from Bhara Kau police arrested two mobile thieves Shoaib and Haneef besides recovering mobiles from them. On a tip off, ASIs Imran Haider and Mumtaz Baig raided at a hideout of dacoits in sector G-9/1 and arrested three dacoits Aurangzeb, Sohail and Ghulam Qadir.

Another accused Jamshed Iqba was arrested in possession of 30 bore pistol too. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons under relevant sections and further investigation is underway from them.
