Tongue the size of 'ping pong ball': Man in US sets record

A man in the US has created a new record for having the thickest tongue in the world, according to the Guinness World Records.

Dante Barnes' tongue circumference measures 12.19 cm.

GWR says that his tongue is almost the size of a “ping pong ball”. While it usually looks like a normal tongue, when expanded, it becomes 4.2 cm in height and 4 cm in width.

Barnes referred to his tongue as a "gift" in a video posted by GWR on Instagram. He said that he never imagined he would ever set a world record for anything.

“I just kind of have fun with it,” he continued, saying that he has a good time with it, amusing people and then shrinking it back to normal whenever he wants.
