RATODERO: Commissioner Larkana Division, Syed Asif Haider Shah, has directed the National Highway Authority (NHA) officers to complete all roads of Larkana Development Package (LDP) before the 33rd death anniversary of PPP founder Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto as VVIPs and high dignitaries are expected to participate in the event which will start from 3rd April.

Presiding over a high level meeting of Mazar Committee in his office in which heads of all departments participated for making necessary arrangements for the event, he warned the participants that no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.

He also directed provincial highways department officials to complete their projects immediately. He directed SEPCO authorities to ensure that no electricity load shedding is made during the event in Garhi Khuda Bux and Naudero.

Additional Deputy Commissioner-1 briefed the meeting about the arrangement of district administration which include provision of drinking water, lighting, car-parking, shuttle service, transport, and fixation of signboards at different roads leading to Garhi Khuda Bux and Naudero, medical camps, establishment of central control room, separate arrangements for ladies, and separate wash rooms for male and females.

The meeting also decided foolproof security arrangements according to which all participants will have to pass through walk-through gates to be erected at all entry points. A grand gathering will be held which is expected to be addressed by the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-Chairman President Asif Zardari besides other central and provincial leaders.

Police and Rangers will increase patrol in Larkana district and pickets will also be established on all roads leading to Bhutto martyrs’ mausoleum so that party workers do not feel insecure.
