FAISALABAD: Punjab Chief Minister, Mian Shahbaz Sharif on Monday complained that Punjab had been subjected to a discriminatory treatment and resolved to fight for the rights of the province, Geo News reported.
Talking to media men, the Chief Minister lamented that the manner in which 'our industry and business was made to suffer speaks volumes about the biased treatment meted out to us'.
He said hundreds of thousands of people had been rendered jobless due to electricity loadshedding wherever there was industry in Punjab. "It was unfair to make one province render sacrifices and then make it suffer the most," he lamented.
Shahbaz added that he would fight alongside the traders for the rights of the province.
Shahbaz further stressed that PML-N workers and the people will peacefully protest in cities across the province and he appealed to the people to remain calm and restrain from violence.
