Gold price increases by Rs100 in Pakistan, declines in global market

  • Price of gold rise by Rs143,300 per tola.
  • Price of gold per 10 grams settles at Rs122,856.
  • Silver prices in domestic market remain unchanged.


KARACHI: Gold price in Pakistan increased by Rs100 per tola as the rupee hit a historic low of 202.01 against the US dollar on Thursday. 

According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association (ASSJA), the price of gold rose to Rs143,300 per tola. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs85 to settle at Rs122,856.

While the price of gold increased in Pakistan, its price dropped in the global market by $6 to settle at $1,846 per ounce. 

The price of the yellow metal was all-time high on May 24 at Rs143,600 per tola. 

Meanwhile, silver prices in the domestic market remain unchanged at  Rs1,590 per tola and Rs1363.16 per 10 grams today.
