Islamabad Fashion Week concludes

ISLAMABAD: The three-day Islamabad Fashion Week concluded here Thursday after providing an opportunity to the emerging talents of fashion industry to allure the visitors of twin cities through displaying innovative textile and fashion products.

The fashion designers coloured the ramp with local and international haute couture during the fashion week, mesmerizing the fashion lovers.

The event fascinated the audience of twin cities with variety of styles of dresses including casual and formal wears and other fashion products, giving chance to the established and upcoming designers, models, choreographers, fashion critics and photographers.

Gujranwala Institute of Fashion Technology (Gift) Lakhany Silk Mills, Danish Wakeel, BNS, Erum Khan, Jazib Qamar and Ali Xeeshan were the participants of the fashion week with their exclusive styles.

In the world of Pakistan's textile, apparel and fashion industry, the name of Lakhany is synonymous with fashion, quality, style and creativity. Fashion loving women of Pakistan take this brand as artistic and aesthetically appealing apparel to meet the needs of the Pakistani or overseas consumer.

BNS is an Islamabad-based design house that deals in innovative, edgy and offbeat ensembles. BNS has been creating waves in the local and international markets through their quintessential silhouette, fine tailoring and intricate surface design.

Erum Khan's label offered both eastern and western ensembles that were a true depiction of the designers innate style and a rendering of the world she sees and feels around her. She created both eastern and western cuts with enhanced vivacious trimmings, dovetailing elegance with abstraction to offer utterly feminine concoctions.

Jazib Qamar has a strong presence on the Pakistani menswear scene for the half past decade. Jazib's bold menswear is a strong fusion of indigenous silhouettes, intricate detailing and overt experimentation.

The men's wear collection created for IFW spellbind the style conscious people with its dark color palette juxtaposed into long jackets and outerwear.
GIFT University has emerged as a premier seat of higher education among the leading universities of the country. It has established a reputable image both within the region and in the country.

The textile design component introduces students to the tradition through textile weaving and printing techniques while elements of hand printing and screenprinting on fabric, photo and computer generated imaging, dye technology and handloom weaving are also taught in this component.

Danish Wakeel is a Pakistani based in London as a fashion model and designer who deals with menswear. His collection is modern yet enriched with traditional concept of drapes. Danish has neatly fused street style with traditional British tailoring for silhouette-hugging styles of expensive fabrics.

Excellent Event and Entertainment (Triple-E) organized the event in association with the International Pakistan Fashion Council (IPFC).

World Fashion Organization (WFO) and Europa Regina. The Creative Consultant for the event is veteran hair and make-up stylist Tariq Amin and the choreographer is veteran, Pomme Gauhar.

The fashion extravaganza showcased leading international and regional fashion designers, brands and institutions including Element Jeans, Arslan and Yahseer, Shaiyanne Malik, Umar Sayeed, Fahad Hussain, Munib Nawaz, Fashion Era, Iqra University and many other emerging names through fashion runway shows and multimedia presentations with an emphasis on trade.
