LAHORE: Punjab Highway Patrol arrested three accused who had fled from police custody.
PHP Bhagowal, Gujrat, received information about four culprits, who had fled away from the custody of Malikwal police, MB Din. PHP team intercepted a van (JMA-6686) and apprehended three culprits namely Noveed Akhtar, Lal Khan, Chand.
Meanwhile, PHP officials also arrested five criminals on the charge of having illegal weapons and recovered four pistols and one short gun from their possession. They have been identified as Jamil, Murtaza, Shahid Iqbal, Muhammad Arshad and Idress.
PHP officials handed over arrested persons and looted property to local police for further interrogation.
