Five dacoits arrested
ISLAMABAD: Shehzad town police has busted a gang of dacoits during raid at their hideout and recovered weapons from them, a police spokesman said on Saturday.

On a tip off, SP (Rural) Fasial Bashir Memon assigned the task to DSP Shehzad town Arshad Khokar to raid at the hideout of dacoits and ensure their immediate arrest.

Following his directions, a special team under his supervision including SHO Shehzad town Khalid Mehmud, Sub-Inspector Muzaffar Hussain raided at the described place and succeeded to arrest five dacoits. They were identified as Ashraf Khan, Gul Khan, Siraj Khan, Safdar Ali, Naveed and police recovered three 30 bore pistols, one 22 bore pistol as well as fourteen rounds from their possession.

Further investigation is underway and police is hopeful for more recovery from them.

Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Awais Ahmed arrested a drug pusher besides recovering 260 gram hashish from him. ASI Muhammad Iqbal from Ramna police arrested an accused Waqar Younus and recovered stolen motorbike (LXM-457) from him.

On the compliant of local people, ASI Badar Munir from Shehzad town police arrested four persons identified as Shakeel, Bhola Masih, Mehmud and Sonia for their alleged involvement in immoral activities.

Cases have been also registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
