WASHINGTON: The six NATO troops killed Sunday in a roadside bomb attack in eastern Afghanistan were American, a US official said, without offering further details about the incident.
The International Security Assistance Force announced the deaths in a statement, without specifying the nationalities of the victims. Eastern Afghanistan is considered a hotbed of Taliban activity. (AFP)
