LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a thirty member initial squad for the T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka.
Wicketkeeper batsman Kamran Akmal has received clearance from the board while the names of Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq have not been included in the squad.
The World Cup will take place in Sri Lanka in September and October this year.
Pakistan’s initial 30 member squad includes: Muhammad Hafeez (captain), Shahid Afridi, Shahzeb Hasan, Haris Sohail, Imran Nazir, Ahmed Shehzad, Khalid Latif, Nasir Jamshed, Shoaib Malik, Umer Akmal, Asad Shafique, Muhamamd Sami, Azaz Cheema, Umer Gul, Raza Hasan, Wahab Riaz, Anwar Ali, Saeed Ajmal, Abdul Rehman, Sohail Tanveer, Yasir Arafat, Hamad Azam, Shakeel Ansar, Kamran Akmal, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Owais Zia, Sharjeel Khan, Ramiz Raja and Junaid Khan.
