KARACHI: SSP South Asif Ijaz Sheikh has said that five persons were killed in different localities of the metropolis during last 24 hours.
Briefing the newsmen about law and order situation here on Friday, he said that 12 persons were also injured in different incidents during the period.
Giving details about the casualties, he said, two shot dead due to personal enmity- two others due to unknown reasons and one on resistance of a robbery attempt.
He said that the city police have arrested 59 persons on different charges and recovered 31 pistols from them during the period.
The SSP further stated that five armed men looted Rs 4.5 million cash from a private bank in phase -II of Defence Housing Society.
The armed men after looting cash from the bank managed to escape on their motorbikes.
The police have registered robbery case and investigating further. (APP)
