ISLAMABAD: Margallah police Islamabad have arrested 90 outlaws including 69 proclaimed offenders during the last two months and recovered 334 wine bottles, weapons and looted items worth millions of rupees from their possession, a police spokesman said on Monday.

According to details, SP (Saddar) Zone assigned special task to Station House Officer Margallah police station Muhammad Hussain Lasi to take effective action against proclaimed offenders and those involved in crime of heinous nature. Various police teams of Margallah police station working under his supervision managed to arrest 90 outlaws including 69 proclaimed offenders, dacoits, sellers of explosive crackers during the last months and recovered looted items as well explosive crackers worth millions of rupees from their possession.

Margallah police also successfully conducted investigation of 100 cases and submitted their challans into courts.

While reviewing the report, IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan has appreciated the performance and announced cash prizes as well as commendation certificates for members of police team.

He said policing is a service-oriented job and every possible effort should be made to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens.
