ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have finalized comprehensive security and patrolling plan on the eve of Yum-ul-Quds and Eid-ul-Fitr besides augmenting the security at public places, worship places and other important buildings to thwart any untoward incident.
The security plan was finalized here on Thursday in a meeting presided by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Bani Amin Khan and was attended among others by DIG (Headquarters) Ahmed Mukaram, AIG (Speical Bracnh) Waqar Chohan, AIG (Establishment) Dr. Sultan Azam Temuri, AIG (Operations) Tahir Alam Khan, SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq, SSP Headquartetrs M.Yousuf Malik, SSP Mir Vais Niaz, all SPs and other senior police officials.
In connection with Yum-ul-Quds, elaborate security measures have been taken and IGP Bani Amin Khan has directed also to ensure strict security measures outside all masajid, imambargahs, exit and entry points of the city.
Islamabad police along with contingents of Rangers and FC will ensure foolproof security arrangements on the occasion and police commandos will be deployed along with procession for the safety of the people.
The IGP directed all Superintendents of Police and Sub-Divisional Police Officers to improve the security plan and ensure checking of every person through metal detectors at masajid and imambargahs in their respective jurisdictions. (APP)
