ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 15 outlaws from various areas of the city including five dacoits and recovered six pistols and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
According to details, Ramana police arrested three street criminals Shehzad resident of Lahore, Shakeel resident of Pindi Bhattian, Imran resident of Attock and recovered weapons as well as looted cash from their possession.
Tarnol police arrested two dacoits Ghulam Hussain and Zabi Ullah while Sub-Inspector Ajmal Khan nabbed three thieves identified as Faizan Ahmed, Naeem Sajjad and Asad Mehmud.
Industrial area succeeded to bust a gang of dacoits and recovered two pistols and looted items from them. The nabbed dacoits were identified as Shaaban Iqbal, Sajid and Rizwan Iqbal.
Bani Gala police arrested Shamas ur Rehman and Minhaz Hussain for having two 30 bore pistols. Shehzad town police arrested an accused Waseem for possessing 30 bore pistol while another accused Fazal ur Rehman was arrested by ASI Saleem Raza from Shalimar police station for having 30 bore pistol too.
Loi Bher police arrested Ismail and recovered stolen items from him. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to intensify vigilance and patrolling in their respective areas to curb activities of anti-social elements.
