NA resolution calls for investigation of Karachi, Lahore factory fires

Islamabad: The National Assembly passed a resolution on Thursday calling for an investigation to determine the perpetrators of the factory fires in Karachi and Lahore.

The resolution further recommends for a judicial commission to be formed to investigate the incidents which according to the resolution should be termed a national tragedy.

The Sindh and Punjab governments have also been asked to offer compensation to the families of the victims of the fires.

The resolution pertaining to the factory fires was tabled by the Law Minister Farooq H. Naik.
