COLOMBO: India set a modest target of 153 runs for South Africa in the last match of the Super Eights Group Two of the World Twenty Cricket 2012 here at the R Premadasa Stadium on Tuesday.
Sent into bat by South Africa’s captain AB de Villiers, India made 152 for six in the allotted 20 overs.
Suresh Raina top scored with 45 from 34 balls with four boundaries, followed by Rohit Sharma (25), captain Mahindra Singh Dhoni (23 not out) and Yuvraj Singh (21).
For South Africa, left-arm spinner Robin Peterson and fast bowler Morne Morkel claimed two wickets each.
