31 drums of alcohol recovered, 3 accused arrested

KARACHI: The intelligence team of Excise & Taxation Department recovered 31 drums containing 930 liter alcohol in two different raids in Hyderabad and Tando Allahyar and arrested three accused.

On a tip off Excise & Taxation Intelligence Team arrested accused Bashir Ahmed s/o Qadir Bux near Bus Stop Hala Naka Hyderabad and recovered a drum containing alcohol. When he was investigated he led to the team to Tando Allah Yar where the Intelligence Team led by S.M. Sadequain AETO raided at Wazir Compound near Sukkur Company and recovered 30 more drums containing 930 liters alcohol and arrested two accused Riaz s/o Bilawal and his accomplice Azam Ahmed Ali s/o Qadir Bux and also recovered shot gun from their possession.

FIR has been lodged against accused and further investigation is in progress. Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla has appreciated the efficiency of the Intelligence Wing of Excise & Taxation Department.
