ISLAMABAD: Margallah, Sihala, Sabzi Mandi and Industrial area Police Stations on Friday conducted search operation in their respective jurisdictions including slum areas and nabbed 68 suspects, a police spokesman said.
The search operation was conducted at slum areas and under construction buildings and 68 suspects were arrested who could not produce any document for their identification. Following the directions of IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan, teams of these police stations headed by SDPOS and Station House Officer conducted a search in their respective areas.
IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have directed to expand this search operation in other areas of city and asked to ensure strict monitoring and vigilance of suspected elements. The purpose of starting search operation in various areas is to ensure foolproof security in the Capital, the IGP added.(APP)
