Gwadar: Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) seized fine quality of Hashish from general area Pashal Goth near Gwadar (Balochistan).
A statement issued here on Friday said that the PCG officials received credible information from intelligence resources about the smuggling of narcotics in general area Pashal Goth near Gwadar.
It said that a special mobile patrol was constituted for snap checking in the area.
On seeing the PCG officials, the smugglers opened fire, which was retaliated by the PCG officials.
After exchange of fire, the drug traffickers managed to flee taking advantage of fog and darkness in the mountainous terrain.
Later on the PCG patrolling team recovered 430 kilograms of fine quality of Hashish in the desolated mountainous area.
Approximate value of the Hashish in the market is stated to be Rs. 60,20,000.
Further investigation is under process by the PCG "Specials Investigation Team".(APP)
