Pakistani cricketer Imam-ul-Haq and Anmol Mehmood have tied the knot in a "Katrina Kaif-inspired" wedding in Lahore, after days-long festivities.

The couple shared the update on their marriage in separate Instagram posts, linked to each others' accounts on the picture-sharing site.

"Today, we’ve not only become partners for life but have also solidified the bond of best friendship, which has always been the foundation of our love story. Today, I not only married my best friend but also found my forever home in your heart," they said in a shared statement.

The couple then hoped for a life filled with joy and happiness ahead and asked their fans for prayers.

The post was led by some pictures from Imam and Anmol's wedding photoshoot.

Imam wore an embroidered grey sherwani, with matching trousers and khusas, while Anmol was draped in a pastel printed floral saree and with a trailing veil to cover her head and complete her look as the bride.

For makeup, the bride chose nude lips and kohl-rimmed eyes, with a touch of bronze in the eyeshadow. To compliment her look, Anmol wore a traditional piece of jewelry, including a choker and earrings detailed with pink and maroon stones, and a customised headband with a teeka.

For a second, the viewers get a sense of deja vu by seeing the pictures as they are reminded of Katrina Kaif's pictures from one of her wedding events.

There are several reasons for this, one of which is Anmol's attire and look. Even the location for the bridal shoot is similar to that in Katrina's pictures.

"Katrina or Vicky sey inspired lg rhi hai wedding theme (the theme looks inspired from Katrina and Vicky," one of the users commented below the post.
