With fans gearing up for Brendan Rodgers's Celtic FC's Champions League match against Lazio it is imperative to look into what the Scottish club's playing XI might look like.

For Brendan Rodgers' team to have any chance of playing European football in the New Year, they have to win this game following their disappointing draw against Motherwell at home.

The Celtics will face Lazio with a rather subdued lineup as Luis Palma is suspended after receiving a yellow card against Atletico, whereas Daizen Maeda and Liel Abada will also not be playing due to injuries.

However, according to the team's manager, James Forrest along with Mikey Johnston and Yang will be part of the team.

The team's defence will likely comprise Alistair Johnston — who is expected to replace Tony Ralston — who will join Cameron and Carter-Vickers on the backline, whereas Liam Scales is likely to be at left back with Greg Taylor.

According to thecelticstar, the Scottish club are a little thin on the wings when it comes to attacking and Kyogo should be starting through the middle with Yang and James Forrest wide.

Callum McGregor, who will be leading the Celtics, will be useful for the team in the midfield along with Matt O'Riley and Odin Thiago Holm.
