Man involved in mobile phone fraud held

QUETTA: A law enforcement agency has shifted the accused to the provincial capital of Quetta from Faisalabad who was arrested for his alleged involvement in mobile phone related fraud.

Official sources said on Wednesday that the accused was involved in fraud of receiving money from people after telling them via mobile phone that he is representative of a mobile phone company and they were selected for winning cash prize from the company in lucky draw. He later, demanded of them to send him some money on the pretext of fee so that cash prize could be sent to them.

A law enforcement agency was lodged complaint in this regard that through cyber technology traced the suspect sitting in Faisalabad, arrested him and shifted him to Quetta.

An investigation team has been interrogating the suspect. Further probe was in process.
