Cristiano Ronaldo, known for his unmatched fitness courtesy of his rigorous training regime coupled with health-conscious style of living, has seldom been subjected to injuries.

However, Ronaldo, after suffering from a muscular injury has been left unable to feature for Al-Nassr's tour to China — leading to the cancellation of the Saudi club's tour to China.

The 38-year-old is believed to be still in rehab after missing Al-Nassr's practice for eight days in a row, reported sportskeeda.

Earlier, in a statement, the star footballer expressed his sadness over his inability to feature in matches scheduled in China.

"I have played 22 years in football and I am a player that doesn’t have too many injuries.

"So I'm really sad because Al-Nassr and myself have come to China to enjoy the tour. I have been coming to China since 2003/2004, so I feel at home here – my second home," he said.

Ronaldo's injury might sideline Ronaldo for a couple of weeks, potentially affecting his participation in the Riyadh Cup against Inter Miami, where he could miss a reunion with long-time rival Lionel Messi.

Al-Nassr, amidst their mid-season break, is adjusting their plans and aims to face Messi's Inter Miami on February 1, followed by a clash with Al-Hilal a week later, and a return to competitive action in the AFC Champions League against Al Feiha on February 14.
