Super Bowl-ers! If you have picked your team, then get your uniforms ready because it has finally been announced what the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will wear in Super Bowl 58.

Since Kansas City is set to serve as the "home" team in the matchup at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on February 11, it got the chance to choose first what uniforms the team wants to wear.

The Chiefs have decided to hit the field next week in their home red uniform, while the 49ers will don their traditional road white uniform.

Although the teams' pants choices have not been announced yet, it is expected that the Chiefs will wear white pants with red helmets and the 49ers will wear gold pants to match their gold helmets, USA Today reported.

If the teams seem too familiar to you as they square off for the National Football League's (NFL) Lombardi Trophy next Sunday, do not panic because it may just be a deju vu from Super Bowl 54 in 2020, where both teams wore the same outfits at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, and the Chiefs won 31–20.

Kansas City is set to make its sixth Super Bowl appearance, with a strong record in the home uniform.

The Chiefs have won in Super Bowls 4 and 54 while sporting the home red uniform, with the only loss coming in Super Bowl 55 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In the white uniforms, they have a 1-1 record, losing in the first Super Bowl against the Green Bay Packers but winning against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 57.

San Francisco 49ers, who will play their eighth Super Bowl, have also had favourable results in white uniforms, having won Super Bowl 16 and Super Bowl 24.

The Niners have worn red more, winning three consecutive games against the Miami Dolphins, Cincinnati Bengals, and San Diego Chargers. The only loss in red was in Super Bowl 47 against the Baltimore Ravens.

However, the road white uniforms have been the most successful in Super Bowl history, winning 37 out of 57 games with a 64.9% winning percentage.

This dominance has continued with 16 of the past 19 champions wearing white uniforms.
