Truck driver smashes six vehicles in road rage

WAH CANTT: A truck driver, who refused to pay the toll tax, in complete madness, broke down two police barricades, besides damaging six vehicles, including the vehicle of in-charge city police station on Taxila-Hattar Road here on Thursday.

According to police and eyewitnesses, truck driver Sajjad Satti refused to pay the toll tax near Ahatta checkpost and tried to speed away by resorting to opening fire on the toll plaza staff.

The in-chrage of city police station Sub-Inspector Tariq Majeed chased the truck, but its driver tried to hit him down the bridge. The police, however, managed to stop the driver after exchange of fire. During search, nothing suspicious was recovered from the truck.

The Taxila Police registered a case against the driver and started investigation. (APP)
