Valentine's Day 2024: Instagram introduces exclusive features to unlocking love

Love is permeating Instagram this Valentine’s Day, as the platform has revealed two enchanting features to enhance your Stories and DMs, Indian Express reported. 

The first delightful addition is the "exploding heart" animation for Instagram Notes. Users can experience this feature by crafting a Note containing specific keywords or emojis like "Happy Valentine’s Day," "Happy vday", and more. Upon posting or tapping on a friend's Note, a cascade of hearts will bring an extra festive vibe to your DM inbox.

To try it out:

1. Launch Instagram and tap the DMs icon

2. Create a new note by tapping the bubble on the top-left

3. Compose a heartfelt message with a related emoji or keywords

4. Share your creation

The second enchanting feature elevates Instagram Stories with floating hearts triggered by @mentioning another account. To access this feature:

1. Capture or upload content to your Instagram Story

2. Tap the sticker icon and select the @mention sticker

3. @mention your valentine

4. Share your Story and witness the hearts materialise

Both of these Instagram Valentine’s updates are active until February 15, so seize the moment and infuse your social media with the spirit of love.
