The PCB chief met Australia's top diplomat at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, where he came on Naqvi’s invitation to watch a Pakistan Super League  (PSL) match between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators.

During their interaction, the Australian envoy congratulated PCB Chairman Naqvi on the successful staging of the flagship tournament — PSL. “The environment of Gaddafi Stadium adds more excitement for the [spectators],” Hawkins added.

The PCB head thanked the diplomat for coming to the stadium to witness the match on his invitation and told him that both — Pakistan and Australia — are cricket-loving nations.

“Cricket is a game of peace [...] I wish for the Australian team to play a series in Pakistan,” Naqvi added.
