Power-hitting batter Usman Khan won’t be available to Multan Sultans for their March 5 match against Peshawar Zalmi scheduled to be played at Pindi Cricket Stadium.

The franchise said in a statement today that the player is flying to the UAE to attend to a “personal matter”.

It added that Usman is scheduled to join the team in Islamabad ahead of the March 10 game against Islamabad United.

Usman Khan has played a key role in the Sultans' victories with his power hitting in the ongoing Pakistan Super League's ninth edition.

On Sunday, he hit the fastest century so far in this season's PSL to lead his team into the playoffs with a 20-run win over Karachi Kings.

He smashed 106 not out off 58 balls after reaching his ton in 56 deliveries while skipper Mohammad Rizwan contributed 58 in Multan's imposing 189 for 3 after choosing to bat first.

It is important to note that Usman Khan is a Pakistan-born player, who now plays for the United Arab Emirates.
