Arsenal achieved a convincing 6-0 win over Sheffield United, etching their name in Premier League history.

The Monday night showdown at Bramall Lane witnessed Mikel Arteta's side showcasing their attacking ability, securing their seventh consecutive league win.

The Gunners wasted no time making a statement, with Captain Martin Odegaard setting the tone in the fifth minute. The relentless offensive onslaught continued as Jayden Bogle's own goal, and strikes from Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz left Sheffield United's defense in disarray. Declan Rice added a fifth goal in the 39th minute, with the away fans jubilantly chanting, "We're gonna score in a minute."

The visitors' relentless attack reached its zenith when Ben White unleashed a left-foot thunderbolt into the far corner in the 58th minute, securing the Gunners' place in history. Although the opportunity to challenge the record for most goals in a league game slipped away, Arsenal's commanding victory solidified their goal difference superiority over title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.

However, the celebratory mood was tinged with concern as Gabriel Martinelli had to be helped off the pitch in the 64th minute due to a right ankle injury. Despite this setback, Arsenal's momentum remains unwavering as they hold the third spot, poised to capitalize on any missteps from the top two.

In the wake of Arsenal's historic triumph, Sheffield United finds themselves anchored at the bottom, enduring a challenging season. Manager Chris Wilder acknowledged the difficulties faced by his "damaged group of players" and expressed the pain of enduring another tough defeat.

Arsenal's 6-0 victory not only matched their biggest Premier League away win but also positioned them as the first team to secure three consecutive away victories by a margin of five or more goals.
