Tech billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk revealed the benefits of using ketamine, indicating that he has been suffering from depression and measures he undertakes to manage it.

Speaking in an interview with Don Lemon aired Monday about ketamine use, Elon Musk noted that he takes a "small amount once every other week" to manage his depressive feelings.

“Ketamine is helpful for getting one out of a negative frame of mind,” the 52-year-old told Don Lemon.

Asked whether there was any trouble caused by his use of ketamine and whether it hindered government contracts and his standing on Wall Street. Musk — who is also the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla — said "no".

"From the standpoint of Wall Street, what matters is execution," the tech mogul said, adding that "from an investor standpoint if there is something I’m taking, I should keep taking it."

The reason he mentioned his use of ketamine on X — formerly called Twitter — is because he believed, “maybe this is something that could help other people.”

The interview was aired days after the former CNN journalist Lemon announced last week that Musk cancelled his deal on X with the message "contract terminated".

Musk’s social media platform further issued a statement saying that it would not "enter into a commercial partnership" with Lemon’s show, however, the journalist was allowed to air his content on the website.
