Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly gifted himself a luxury $300 million superyacht, the Launchpad, according to reports by The Sun and New York Post.

The 287-foot vessel reached Fort Lauderdale’s port in the US a few days ago, according to Business Insider, after the superyacht completed its first-ever official sailing.

Based on its photos, the Launchpad is a dark blue-hulled beauty with multiple decks and, according to Superyacht Times, has a gross tonnage of approximately 5,000 with an ability to sail as fast as 24 knots.

The 118-metre Launchpad is the product of Feadship, a renowned yacht builder headquartered in the Netherlands.

According to BOAT International, only 70 motor yachts measuring over 100 meters currently exist, some of which are believed to belong to other members of the three-comma club.

With Meta Platforms, which is the corporate parent of Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and Threads, Zuckerberg has amassed a personal fortune that sat around $178 billion as of Thursday evening, according to Forbes.

"20 years ago I launched a thing," he wrote on the platform in early February. "Along the way, lots of amazing people joined and we built some more awesome things. We’re still at it and the best is yet to come."

He has identified artificial intelligence and the metaverse as long-term focuses of Meta Platforms.
