After multiple women reported getting randomly punched while walking on the streets of New York, authorities finally cuffed the man behind the string of unprovoked attacks, USA Today reported.

Skiboky Stora, a 40-year-old resident of Brooklyn, was arrested on Wednesday booked under an assault charge following a recent attack on at least one woman this week in Manhattan, a New York Police Department spokesperson told USA Today.

The police revealed that the 23-year-old TikTok star Halley Kate told them she was walking in the vicinity of West 16th Street and 7th Avenue about 10:20am earlier this week, when an unknown person hit her in the head.

"The victim fell to the ground and suffered injuries to the left side of her face," police informed USA Today, adding that she was later treated at a local medical facility.

Recently, women across New York City have reported attacks where they were approached by a stranger who punched them in the head or face.

Many victims alerted other women by spreading the message through TikTok.

The police initiated an investigation that led detectives to arrest Skora but did not elaborate on what led them to the suspect.

The investigation remains ongoing while it is not known if Skora had hired an attorney.
