Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi will steal the spotlight from Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes as his side is set to meet Sporting KC at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday night, the home of Super Bowl winners Kansas City Chiefs.

As many as 70,000 fans are expected to turn up to see one of the greatest footballers in action at the stadium, where Kelce and Mahomes are usually in the spotlight, DailyMail.com reported.

Mostly, Sporting KC go head-to-head with their opponents at the Children's Mercy Park, which can house around 18,500 fans. However, since the Argentina World Cup winner was visiting, the venue was shifted to Arrowhead Stadium.

The Miami skipper played the entire 90 minutes, his first since March 7, on Wednesday when his side carshed out of the Champions Cup after facing a defeat 3-1 from Monterrey.

“Messi finished the game in Monterrey without any discomfort,” Miami assistant Javier Morales said Friday.

While it is not confirmed whether any Chiefs stars will be present, the tickets for the game are available at around $120. Both Kelce and Mahomes seem unavailable due to their engagements.

Sporting KC head coach Peter Vermes said: “It will be a great venue for a game like this.”

“I've watched (Messi) play since he was very young. I don't know any team or any coach that has ever devised a game plan that has nullified his unbelievable qualities.”
