Louisiana State University Tigers star, Olivia Dunne, capped off her senior year claiming their first National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) title on Saturday, the New York Post reported.

Dunne and the LSU Tigers scored 198.2250 to take the crown in a tightly contested competition and took to social media to celebrate the remarkable victory with fans.

After marking a successful end to the national gymanstics competition, the social media and name, image and likeness (NIL) star took her Instagram Story and wrote: "Best day ever!"

LSU barely edged out California, which came in second with an overall 197.8500 score. Meanwhile, Utah came in third while Florida rounded out the top four.

The Tigers’ Haleigh Bryant, who led the way in the Final Four, did so again with a 39.7125 all-around score on Saturday.

"Every team was out there fighting for their lives and all four teams, it could have gone any of four ways out there today," LSU coach Jay Clark told ESPN

"I think as much as I feel for what happened to Oklahoma in the semifinals, I think it made for a championship that became so packed with emotion because every team out there believed they could do it, and it was just tremendous."

Aleah Finnegan also came in first on the floor with a 9.9625 score.
