Al Nassr's Cristiano Ronaldo returned to the field to win 1-0 against Al Khaleej after facing a one-match ban due to a suspension over violent conduct during the Suadi Super Cup semi-final against Al Hilal.

Ronaldo, 39, was given a two-match suspension which was later reduced to a one-match ban.

The Portuguese football legend played as Luis Castro's starting lineup in Al Nassr's face off with Al Khaleej which was settled by Aymeric Laporte's winning goal in the 67th minute.

After the successful match, the former Real Madrid star shared a message he received from fans after the win.

He took to Instagram to share snaps from after the match and captioned his post: "Happy with the win, let’s keep it going!"

Ronaldo's team have been stuck in a sort of limbo with their second-place spot in the Saudi Pro League as they sit nine points behind league leaders Al Hilal.

They are also 19 points ahead of Al Ahli in third place.

Al Nassr is now set to face Al Khaleej once again in the semi-finals of the King Cup of Champions on Wednesday, May 1.
