Esther Crawford, a former employee of X, previously known as Twitter, has landed a high-ranking job at Mark Zuckerberg's Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.

According to Hindustan Times, Crawford, who previously worked as X’s director of product management for over two years, has now joined Meta as Messenger’s Director of Product.

She lost her previous job of two years as part of X owner Elon Musk's layoffs in February 2023.

Crawford made the announcement about her new job in a social media post in which she wrote: "I've joined the Messenger team at Meta as a Director of Product.

"I'm thrilled to get to work with an incredible team focused on 0-1 initiatives within the app!"

She also revealed: "It's definitely a special time to be here because the company is in a unique position to create the next gen of social experiences while democratizing free access to AI within the family of apps and through what developers build on top of Llama 3 (the latest open-source LLM)."

Previously, a picture of Crawford sleeping on the floor inside a meeting room at X went viral.

She said in the caption that sometimes when her team was working nonstop to meet deadlines, they had to sleep at the office.
