PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations, Mian Iftikhar Hussain here Tuesday handed over compensation cheques amounting 1.7 million rupees to heirs of Ziarat Kaka Sahib Blast's victims.
Speaking on the occasion, Provincial Minister said that human life is priceless and cannot be compensated. He said financial assistance is only a token of sympathy and encouragement by the provincial government to the victims.
He said that saints and sufis were the most respected figures of our society owing to their preaching of love, peace and fraternity adding terrorists had not spare them and targeted their shrines for their nefarious designs.
"Terrorism has affected Awami National Party the most and their more than seven hundred workers including MPAs and ministers have lost their lives to the menace of terrorism" he said. He maintained that instead of being emotional we still favor negotiations with the terrorists to restore peace in the region.
Mian said President of ANP, Asfandyar Wali Khan has given guidelines to the federal government regarding the negotiations with the terrorists which would bear fruitful results. He said that in case negotiations do not work then effective and decisive action needs to be taken for elimination of those elements.
On this occasion, Provincial Minister conveyed the message of sympathy to the affected by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and prayed for eternal peace of departed souls. (APP)
