LAHORE: Two persons including trader were killed by dacoits on resistance during dacoity incidents in various areas of the city in the wee hours of Thursday.
Police said that Tariq Akbar Bhatti resident of Muslim Road Samanabad was going to his home on a motorcycle number 5271 after closing shop of stationery at Anarkali. When he reached near his house, the outlaws snatched his purse. Tariq tried to resistance to foil their dacoity attempt, the accused opened fire on him and fled away the scene. He was rushed to the hospital where he expired.
After that traders staged a protest against the incident and demanded of Chief Minister Punjab to arrest the killers.
Meanwhile, dacoits killed a person Atif when he was going home at Salamatpura, Baghbanpura. His body was shifted to morgue for autopsy.
Cases have been registered against the dacoits. (APP)
