Pakistan batting line fails yet again
JOHANNESBURG: Pakistan was reeling at 40/7 at lunch on the second day of the first test match between Pakistan and S.Africa.

The Pakistan batsmen offered no resistance what so ever when play started this morning and wickets fell at regular intervals. S.African bowlers bowled a tight line which was enough to test the techniques and temperament of the Pakistan batsmen.

40/7 is Pakistan’s 2nd worst performance after 25/7 vs Australia at Perth in 1981/82. Pakistan then were dismissed for 62 and lost the match by 286 runs.

Pakistan's lowest total in test cricket is 53 against Australia in 2002 in UAE.

The last three batsmen still need to get another 14 runs to avoid a follow on.

So far D.Steyn has been the pick of the S.African bowlers grabbing three wickets giving away only 8 runs.
