International Education Symposium 2013 conference held
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Science and Technology Mir Jhangaiz Jamali on Saturday said future of nation depended on the development of education system.

He expressed these views while addressing at the concluding ceremonyof two days International Education Symposium 2013 conference organized by Roots International Schools (RIS) here in convention center.

He said the ministry of Science and Technology is taking all possible steps in this regard.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest of the conference, Deputy Convener of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Dr Farooq Sattar applauded the efforts of Walid, Chief Executive Officer of RIS and appreciated the unique and purposeful notion behind ENX 2013.

He said stressed for continuing such academic endeavors in the future for educational enhancement and national progress.

He said there should be a comprehensive national policy for education which would be helpful for national development.

He said the policy could enable the nation to make the country as par thoughts of Qauid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

He said the nation could overcome the present problems including terrorism by educating children and following the thoughts of Qauid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan.

He said the Parliamentarians should provide opportunities of education to the people as education is key for the real democracy in the country.

The participants held a panel discussion on the topic "Horizon Next: Past, Present and Future of Education".

Among others education specialist from Australia, Peter Heyward, Ambassador of Argentina to Pakistan, Mr. Rodolfo Martin, Cuban Ambassador to Pakistan, the British High Commissioner, Jesus Zenen, the Ambassador of Mauritius to Pakistan Rashad Daureeawo, the head of ACCA in Pakistan Arif Masud Mirza, and renowned anchor person Moeed Pirzada were present on the occasion.
