ISLAMABAD: Ramana police Islamabad has busted three gangs of dacoits including Afghan nationals as well as house maid and recovered weapons, stolen valuables as well as snatched items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Sunday.
According to details, SSP Yaseen Farooq assigned special task to SP (Investigation) Mustansar Feeroz to curb theft and dacoity incidents in Ramana area. Following his directions, special teams under supervision of ASP (Ramana Circle) Zahida Bukhari were constituted including SHO Ramana police station Inspector Abid Hussain, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Yaseen, ASI Muhammad Iqbal and others.
These teams succeeded to bust three gangs and nabbed a total of 10 criminals including Afghan nationals. The gang members have been identified as Ghulam Shabbir , Zaheer, Naqash Ali, Zahid Hussain, Shamas ul Rehman, Kareem Khan Afghani, Shumali Khan Afghani and house maid Tasawur Khanam.
Police recovered stolen valuables including laptop, gold ornaments, mobile phones and other electronic equipments from them. They have confessed their involvement in 15 various dacoity incidents in various areas of Islamabad.
Besides, Ramana police also arrested two proclaimed offenders wanted to police for their alleged involvement in crime cases of heinous nature.
