Demo against Dr. Ali Haidar's murder

LAHORE: All doctors' bodies and medical professors including PMA, YDA and medical teachers association on Wednesday rallied against the murder of Prof Dr Ali Haidar and his son Ali Murtaza.

The rally started from King Edward Medical University and concluded at Nila Gumbad.

Earlier, a condolence reference for the departed souls of Prof Dr. Ali Haidar and his son was held in KEMU. A glowing tribute was paid to Dr Ali Haidar on the occasion.

The speakers said that Prof Dr. Ali Haidar was an icon in the profession of medical science and his death caused a lacuna, which could not be filled in days to come.

Addressing the reference, Dr Ali's father, Prof Dr. Zafar Haidar said that spreading knowledge and education would be ultimately a real tribute to the services of late Prof Dr. Ali Haidar.

Meanwhile, Qul ceremony of late Dr. Ali Haidar and his son was held in Muhammadi Mosque, Hali Road, Gulberg here on Wednesday. (APP)
