Karachi: Three killed, two injured in firing, mishap
KARACHI: Three people were killed and two others injured in firing and a road mishap here on Saturday.

A 50-year-old man, Shabbir Hussain, son of Mustansar Hussain, was killed in firing by unidentified armed men near Kala Pul Bridge, within the jurisdiction of Defenc police station.

The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a postmortem.

Police said the victim received four bullets in his upper torso and died on the spot. The police have started investigation to ascertain the motive behind the killing.

Separately, a 24-year-old man, Syed Fayyaz Ali Zaidi, son of Syed Qarrar Hussain Zaidi, was gunned down by unidentified armed men near Jamshed Petrol Pump, Katti Pahari, North Nazimabad, within the limits of Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan police station.

The body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Similarly, one person was killed and two others were injured in a road accident near Zardari Petrol Pump along Super Highway within the precincts of Sachal police station.

Lal Muhammad, 50, was killed, while Ahmed, 25 and another person were injured in the accident. They were returning to the city from New Sabzi Mandi in a vehicle, which was hit by a truck.

The body and injured were rushed to ASH for an autopsy and treatment, respectively. (PPI)
