Foolproof security to be given to anti-polio workers: Minister

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakthunkhwa Minister for Excise and Taxation, Liauqat Shabab here Monday assured foolproof security to anti-polio workers in all districts of the province.

Addressing a compensation cheque distribution ceremony among relatives of slain anti-polio workers of Peshawar here, Liauqat Shabab said the provincial government was committed to the national cause regarding eradication of polio disease as soon as possible.

He assured foolproof security to Lady Health Workers and others anti-polio staff on behalf of the KP Government.

Later, a compensation cheques of Rs. 0.8 million among relatives of four slain anti-polio workers of Peshawar on behalf of the Rotary Club were distributed. (APP)
