Karachi blast kills 4 Rangers personnel, many injured

KARACHI: A bomb explosion targeting a rangers vehicle in Korangi No. 5 area of the metropolis on Wednesday killed four rangers personnel and injured several others, Geo News reported.

According to Rangers' sources, the bomb exploded close to a Rangers' vehicle near the Bhittai Rangers Headquarters located in Korangi No. 5 area.

Exchange of fire between the attackers and rangers personnel was also reported, however, it was not confirmed by the authorities.

Rescue and emergency response teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to hospitals.

Meanwhile, the banned outfit Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility of the attack.
