Two-day pillion-riding ban imposed in Karachi

KARACHI: Pillion-riding has been banned in the city for two days to ensure security on the occasion of Defence Day on September 6, Sindh government announced on Friday night.

According to a notification issued by Sindh Home Ministry, the ban will be effective from the midnight on Friday and will remain imposed over the weekend (Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6).

Women, children below 12 years of age, senior citizens, journalists, personnel of law-enforcement and security agencies in uniform and employees of the essential services will be immune from the ban.
