MADRID: UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon urged North Korea to calm tensions Thursday, describing the situation in Pyongyang as "really alarming" and warning any miscalculation in its nuclear threats could lead to a grave outcome.
Ban told a news conference in Madrid that daily reports from Pyongyang were "really alarming and troubling", and he had urged North Korea to ease tensions.
"Nuclear threat is not a game, it is very serious," the United Nations chief said, and any misjudgement or miscalculation could have "very serious implications". (AFP)
