Cher makes shocking revelation about Sonny Bono's insecurities

Cher made shocking revelation about her late husband Sonny Bono.

The legendary songwriter and actress recently penned details about complicated relationship with Bono, who passed away in 1998,in her new autobiography Cher: The Memoir, Part One.

Cher revealed that Bono once hired private detective to tail her during a challenging time in their relationship.

Cher recalled the moment she admitted to Bono that she was attracted to a guitarist named Bill.

Revealing about Bono's insecurities, Cher wrote, "Ever since we’d first started living together, he’d been secretly convinced I’d leave him one day."

She packed her bags and went to a friend, where she begged Bill to go to airport with her.

“I can’t recall what happened next or in exactly what sequence, but something clicked inside me when I found out that Sonny had slept with Bill’s girlfriend the previous night out of revenge,” she added.

Despite all this, Cher and Bill fled to San Francisco together and Bono’s distrust became evident as private detectives he hired tailed them. “There was no way he was going to let me go off on my own,” Cher wrote.

However, the duo checked into separate rooms to avoid gossip, but spent the night together.

Meanwhile, the next morning private detectives found Cher and she was soon back in Los Angeles.
