Zooey Deschanel has joined the growing list of celebrities impacted by the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires, sharing heartbreaking before-and-after photos of her childhood home in Pacific Palisades.
The New Girl star posted the emotional images on Instagram on Friday, revealing that the beloved 1920s Spanish Revival property had been reduced to ashes.
In this regard, Deschanel captioned the post as, “My childhood home. A marvel of 1920s Spanish Revival architecture. Full of too many incredible memories to count.”
Moreover, she described the home as “cozy and lovely, unique, and perfect to me,” while recounting family celebrations such as Christmas dinners, weddings, and birthdays.
Additionally, the photos included throwbacks of Zooey with her family, including her sister Emily Deschanel, best known for her role in Bones.
Along with the emotional tribute, Zooey expressed her gratitude for the support she and her family have received.
In regard to this, she wrote, “Thank you all for showing us the goodness in your hearts,” while calling the kindness of friends, strangers, and firefighters “a light during this dark time.”
